For Season 2, I wanted to create a more coherent story using the characters that I had drawn in Season 1. One new addition was Prairie, a naive moth who was still learning the ropes. She's often seen sticking with Sis, a veteran who's more experienced but instead of teaching her, likes to prank her a lot.

During the making of this season, I've started learning to draw using digital software. Before this, I usually draw by hand but I realized that it isn't as flexible as drawing on a computer. It took me a while, but by the end of the season, I was comfortable drawing on a tablet and with a digital pen.

Also during the season, I had began drafting ideas for Season 3. It was to be the final season for the "Children of the Abyss" series and the initial idea was that it was supposed to be only a few chapters long.

 

But that idea grew into more ideas, and they kept on growing and growing until I just said, "Fuck it. Let's just do all of it. The story might not even deliver, but at least I'll get some experience". So yeah, Season 3 will be quite an experience.
